Knee Strap - ripped out of the rivots - Tree involved

After using them for 2 months without any real breakages, I managed this weekend to snap the knee strap.

Was talking to a mate and decide to stay still by holding onto a small branch above my head, and guess what?  It snapped  :'(

I've seen a few vidoe clips of people using the red/black straps that come with them.  What do other people use instead of the knee straps which are connected to the knee support?

Mine ripped out about a week ago on the buckle side (rather than the velcro side).

Drill out the rivets (2 of them) and use 2 cable ties to hold it in place. Works a treat.

Nice one, thanks for the link.  Had been looking for pictures on how to use the webbing provided to keep the old knees in place. 

It was always in the back of my mind that the attached straps would break, and hey presto they did  :o
