When I first started Bocking in 2008 there was tons of meet ups going around and the forums were a hive of activity,
but with how it has been the last few months it seems to be the opposite.
Now if I take a glance at the forums, there is barely anything new happening,
not to mention that there is a lackluster amount of posts per a day.
At last years CB more than a hundred people went, but this year only about 30-40 came, even less than the first CB.
I am getting extremely annoyed by the fact that there are barely any meets happening,
and if I try to organise one myself most people can't come.
2009's Bocking season at the most has been "mediocre", I can't say more than that.
I mean, I have had some fun when the opportunity arises,
but there just seems to be nothing happening when it comes to meetups.
One other thing is that there has not been a major innovation in stilt design for years,
and the root of this problem is probably the inventor himself.
His restrictive patent stops the bigger companies getting in on this sport,
and the smaller companies barely make any money,
therefore do not have the engineers/brains to actually make a major design change to Bocks.
Bocking could expand if it wasn't for Boeck being so worried about illegal copies rather than actually improving the sport.
Bocks are long overdue for a design overhaul, and it looks like it is not going to happen for a long time.
