New Springs
« on: December 03, 2007, 10:45:34 PM »
If you have read my other posts you will know the self caused saga of my new PJ's

Well I finally got the New 119 kg springs fitted to my old modded PJ's on the weekend but them rain stopped play

Today I took them out for the first time Oh Boy are new springs stiff, walking was fine but when I started bouncing I had so much extra spring I was like a jack in the box (no idea which direction I was gonna shoot off in  :o) ;D

People were hugging the walls to get past me (I must have looked more dangerous than normal  ;D)

I was still getting the same height but not bottoming out, this will take some getting used to (feels dangerous again  ;D)

I'm looking forward to tomorrow hope it doesn't rain  ;D

Haha don't people usually hug the walls when you are about  ;D

I think you may find you will start getting higher more you develop your jumping technique as you still haven't got the most from your new springs!

What weight were your old ones?

tell me soon if theyre better than normal i might get some
nephew

Nephew, the sizes come according to your weight band at the beginning and then once you develop your skill you may need to go higher than your actual weight!

You would need to be almost double your weight for you to use the same springs as Jason  :P

Sorry Nephew

I think you missunderstand I have just fitted new Glass fiber Springs to my old bocks not the carbon ones

You might get either on yours

They don't do the larger sizes in carbon yet as I believe at this time they keep breaking in the heavier weights

But hopefully they will sot the problems out and I'll get a pair  ;D

I know I shouldn't double post but it was easier

The old ones were the same weight as the new ones Naz but hammering 17 1/2 stone on them must have weakened them (not that I'm fat or anything  ;D)

It;s just that these are so much crisper and bouncier the're frightening me  :o and you know what my sence of ballance is like thought I would take it easy on the first day (we don't want any accidents now do we  ;) ;D)

On a really bad note I noticed today that the windows on the office at the end of my bouncing alley are mirrored so I can watch myself jump (well now I know why people hug the walls  ;D) It really is off putting jumping infront of a mirror

Oh god I just realized there might be people behind the window/mirror Ooh no the faces I was pulling  :-[

how long did you have your old ones for?
I think with the new ones and also your better technique you will find you get alot more height once they break in a little.

I've had the old ones about 9 months and I can say that after one session on the new ones I will definately get more height with a couple more sessions

I also think that now I've taken them to work and can get 2 sessions a day I'm loosing weight so when I get down to 15 or so stone I should almost flying  ;D (note to self want Heathrow of bocking times )

I was quite amazed how much height I got today I was a little under the weather (to much beer and not enough sleep) ;)

Ok start at the top

Only banned on them in the building Naz so long as I carry them to the door and put them on outside  ;D so tea time and lunch time guess what I'm doing  ;)

I was a little tipsey on sat night and a bit more on sunday (pizza and beer sunday treat) so more hung over and over fed than drunk today (if I was drunk I might have got more height  ;D)
