We often get asked how to tell the difference between the carbon / fibreglass mix springs and the fibreglass ones...

If they look greeny then its fibreglass

If they are black / darkish grey its Carbon/Fibreglass Mix

do you have the carbon springs in stock Naz?
sorry i realise this had probably been covered before, but how much more do they cost also?

Yes, we do have the carbon/glass fibre mixed ones in stock, we sell them at the same price of £44.99 each however if you say you want to take up the forum offer of £75 for a pair you can do that over the phone.

At the moment we dont charge extra for them as it depends on the weight and we send out either or, however if you want the carbons please say that when you are ordering thanks.

The carbon/fibreglass mix springs, look like they have a groove on them, that is different from just the fibreglass springs, but may be a design feautre, due to the micture of two high strength GRP's

Without getting into an almighty debate its very hard to say categorically which springs are better, unless the same individual tests both springs over a certain time period from when they are brand new.

However in my own opinion, taking into account what users, testers etc  have reported back to me...
I feel that the Carbon/Fibre mix springs are at present are proving themselves to be better than the fibreglass springs we use to sell and could prove with time to be as good as any springs out there if not better.

We have never had a problem with the fibreglass springs, they were responsive and did their job well however the Carbon/fibre  mix springs are much more responsive, giving a better return for less of an effort and more height as well. The other reason why I feel they edge the older ones is we have only had a few break in almost 5 months.

I know Paul Self on the forum has been using the new Carbon/Fibre mix springs so you could ask him his opinion as well

yeh throw me in the deep end Naz =P yeh their a great spring and having used both sets of springs i agree totally with Naz they feel very nice to bounce with they are absoloutly great and ive had no problems since ive had them =)

and honestly I didnt pay him to say that... 

but only time will tell exactly how well these are compared to the fibreglass and other brands.

I just got my new set of Carbons today  and have had about 3 mins on them wearing slippers  (just couldn't resist a quick go)

I have no idea yet but I must say that having had 2 sets of fibreglass springs the Carbon ones did seem to be softer but just as springy almost like a set of fibreglass ones that have been worn in and are working well

So they feel good so far (all 3 mins of it  )

lol I will have to set myself a set, when I manage to break my current springs, which just keep going and going, long than the duracell bunny, lol

i LOVE the carbon springs, ive not used em granted, but they appear to have less chance of manufactured faults.
