First of all.

You should never laugh at someones safety equipment

You may not mind cuts and broken bones but others do ! If they feel safe and happy wearing it let them don't take the P's  >:(

Beside it's part of the costumes and adds colour  :banana:

as well they have to set a good example for the sport so wearing helmets is a good idea for this

I've got to say though, it looks as if the helmets are bike ones ... not the best choice in the world...

well the normal helmets that you would use for bocking is a biking helmet
as it is a p**s pot, rather than a xc one
