stilt shoe bolding advice!
« on: October 22, 2009, 09:58:25 PM »
Hey eveyone,
Those of you who know me will also know that im short...which = issues!
i have tried using flipflops on my stilts but when i do anything my heels come over the plastic back footrest and its dodgy to say the least!

I am going to get some trainers to bolt on with a platform underneath but i need some help (Jason and Carlos! cough)
of not only bolting a shoe to the plastic footplate but a platform too.

any ideas?

Thanks
Love

You tryed running shoes? the heel raises up loads, and the support on the back of a running shoe is more than enough.
They are also fairly cheep so easy to bolt to footplate.

Hope that kinda helps

yes i was thinking of something like that,

Hmmm... i would have thought your legs cleared that easy... you got Knee bar or Calf Cuffs?

I had the problem with my heels lifting up and over the heel support when I first made the moving footplate

I cured this by replacing the heel support with a bit of angle ally (about 2" high)

Have you thought about raising the plastic footplate as a whole

You can buy box section ally on e-bay so if you get couple of bits the same width and length as the ally support undr the footplate you could bolt them to the support and them bolt the footplate on top

would your knee bars be to low if you fitted them upside down?
or try someone elses calf cuffs as low as the go cause they seem to go lower
falling is proof your trying

that wont work, cos you still get hit in the back of the leg by the top of the spring
