Knee/Shin Pads
« on: March 06, 2007, 09:14:07 PM »
Here's the deal, me and my dad want to buy some knee/shin pads, but I have no idea about any sizes as not much is stated about the product. So does anyone know about sizes and colours for them? Also could i get any discount from postage too?
Thanks, Luke

dont know about sizes, i think its just large and small... but the ones i got from the pro jump shop (ghost bikes in preston) are great, pretty cheap and simple but just seem to be perfect also if you get them on right and set the knee brace they seem to have a nice dip just right for the brace to sit in...

hope that helped..

This is what you want (same company as projump).

These fit great and more importantly have long stretchy velcro straps that wrap around your leg AND THE BACK OF THE KNEE BAR which keeps you strapped in all snug.
Honestly, you try these for 5 mins and you wont want anything else.
Anyone going to Poole meet or Donny at the big one can try mine out.
Virtually everyone on the display team wears them too.

but if the kneebar strapping is pulling u forward outways, and the shin pad straps are pulling you inways, how is that going to work?

its not easy to explain and far easier for you to give it a go for 5 mins.

The other day i was filming myself so i was doing as many tricks and as much height as I can and it was only when I took off my pj's that i noticed I forgot to do up my right knee strap completely - but i didnt notice when I was bouncing.
Trust me, its a big difference.

personally i dont wear knee or shin pads. most of the others locky included strap them to their legs differently to me.

i think that the knee support stops my leg getting smashed in fine.

just my opinion though  :D

I got wrist, elbow and knee pads from Lesiure Lakes (they have an online shop) in Bury. I paid £16 for the lot.

I want a skate/bmx helmet next, rather than my motocross helmet (sold my MX bike a while ago but kept the gear).

Carl.

Got the set of knee and elbow pads from Pro-jump with my PJ's and I must agree they seem to fit into the knee brace and not slip almost like they are ment to be there very comfy

my prob is the calf pad I'm 6ft 3 it is to low (cuts into my calf muscle I took the bolts out and inverted it which is slightly better but it could still be longer or tilted back
