« on: February 16, 2007, 06:15:14 PM »
hi to all

(background)
i do a sport called parkour and street stunts which involves me jumping, climbing and flipping any thing i can get on. been doing this sport for about 2 years now and got a few shows from doing it.

i just started poweriseing a few weeks ago and trying flips. i got backs, front, fronts 180 and sides but not got the skills to link them yet. (all in a gym not out side and because of street stunts i got the guts to flip.)

just wanna know what you call this sport (Short hand,) what you call the moves, what other moves are there and any thing i should know.

as soon as i get a camera ill post them up.
please give some advice and form on the moves.

oh this aint a chav thing is it

Hi welcome to the forum!

Most people call this sport "Powerbocking" you may notice a few people on this forum refering it to as "Pro-Jumping" too!

We would love to see pics & vids so keep us posted!

parkour not a tricking thing but street stunts are. not many people know that but there are no flips or flairing in parkour. its all about speed and power. street stunts is about big flips twists and flair.......................just to let you guys know

went out on them again to day at the gym and got a few more moves down. manage to link the flips nows but still no hight to flip big stuff. thats crazy..................

i got a mate as well who should be joining soon, he does the same as me (parkour + street stunts) and can do the same stuff at pro jumping
/ names ian \

oh yer please fill free to see what we do. www.team-101.co.uk
thats my team and the vids are a bit old but you still get the idear.

here is a little vid that we made (timmo's in red ian's in the vest. / old footage ian's in all white .

there were 2 down sides to this vid. i all most broke my leg and couldnt walk on it the next day, and the tape run out so we could put up my bail or the rest of the moves.

beware i do swear in this vid (knees were not meant to go in that direction)

enjoy

we have done shows in the past and we have a few shows this year but only wid parkour / street stunts. we have only had these powerisers for about three weeks and didnt even think about doing shows on them.

we travel all over the country to practice parkour / street stunts and do shows. wid parkour / street stunts you can learn so much from others, thats why we travel so much. (brighton across to bournemouth up to liverpool)

we are in a team but a parkour / street stunts team called "TEAM 101". we havant formed a pro jumping team yet. i suppose, cos were in the same team (ian and i) that we are "team 101" pro jumping team or something like that.

but yer. i rekkon that we would do shows on them. give us a bit more time to perfect them and add some twists. then yer we would. (i would and i think that ian would. cant make his call for him)

that side flip ian does (called a double leg in street stunts terms) thats how i did my knee in. i did a back flip straight into a side. didnt land it and my knee went outwards.

Dude i checked out your "my space" page and you got some good sh** up there.
(i see you do parkour as well. nice 1)

cheers for the replys

I havent spoken to Timmo for a few days, but last time I did he said it still really hurt. So hopefully he is doing alright!

Hopefully this Sunday, I can start to get some more combos and I know Timmo could too, just wait to see if his knee is alright!

www.team-101.co.uk is our site by the way
