I need help modifying my foot and calve straps
« on: May 07, 2010, 12:36:17 AM »
As you can see from the pics my straps are just cheap canvas material and not something like a snowboard binding strap in.  Does anybody know where I could get proper foot and calve straps.  As it is right now, when I them on it's way to lose!!!  My feet slide back and forth, side to side and the strap behind my calf doesn't even touch my calf when it's as tight as it can be.

I bought these Skyrunner - King Jumper power bocks from a lady in China for $290 (that's with taxes, shipping etc... $290 straight up).  Is that a good price?  I'm thinking about returning them and buying a different pair that already has the proper straps etc...  Does anyone have any advice for me?  Thanks for helping me with my dilemma!!!

Ok as you are talking $ I take it you are not in the UK

So the first question is where are you and what other makes are available to yo
Also what is your $ £ exchange rate

Can you get Pro-jumps or any of the others made by the same factory

Basicly what I am saying is if you can't get better then these will have to do but if you can I would suggest returning them (if you can) and buying a better pair

im in Canada and the city I'm in doesnt have a retailer that sells any type of power bockers. if i were to return them what brand do you suggest for a beginner who has a lot of gymnastics experience so i anticipate learning quite fast. My budget is about 192 GBP (pounds)  maybe i should shop for some here in canada in one of our bigger cities.  what do you think?

Don't know much about the Canadian market but if you were here I would recommend Projumps at that price as you can get a set with cuffs etc

Sprog or one of our American posters may be able to tell you who sell over there

Return them, no question about that you got ripped off.  There aren't a whole lot of canadian dealers.  7's are out of your price range, I think there's a Poweriser dealer and maybe an Air trekker dealer, but I know the US poweriser dealers will ship to canada and you can get Poweriser classics for ~US$250. email them about shipping.  Could try the Air-trekker dealers too they might ship to canada, they're the same as Pro-Jumps.

Air-Trekkers does ship to Canada, go for the calf-cuff model. Stay away from skyrunners.

Hey Guys, I dont post much but I feel that I have to help my fellow Canadian out here  :Csmile:

I'm from Canada too and I actually own a pair of Bocks similar to the ones you have here with the pivoting footplates. I didn't think these are still being sold as Fly Jumper Canada stopped selling these models a little while back. It looks like Sky Runner is still selling this design on ebay and crap for cheap but they have horrible springs. The cheap straps aren't even the problem. It is the springs that are horrible on those skrunners.

If you live in Canada too, there is a new Canadian site you should try www.FlyJumperForum.ca because I think that there is a classified section on there where you might be able to sell these bocks. You can also communicate with the admin there about getting a better pair, especially if you do gymnastics and stuff. I think they are actually going to be selling the new 2010 CZ series Fly Jumpers very soon. I hear that the springs on these models are absolutely amazing. They are supposed to be twice the thickness of every other spring on the market, and they are supposed to return some serious energy.

Cheers Yall  :Cnotworthy:

I love how the manual is extremely similar to something I spent days doing from scratch... Its ok to just change the language a little, exchange the pics and swap few pages here and there http://www.flyjumperforum.ca/index.php?action=ezportal;sa=page;p=3  :Cmad:
