Just ordered my set!! can't wait!! if i put a sign in my window telling the delivery man to leave te parcel at my neighbours over the road if im not in would that be ok? cos i aint going to be able to get to my nearest parcelforce office because my mum n dad are on holiday next week..... i cant wait though!! oh yeh!!

Officially drivers are instructed not to do this so no it would not be ok.

Whether or not the driver in questions follows instructions to the letter is a different matter altogether lol.

the driver of my delivery was just handing over my stilts to a neighbour when my lodger who had thought he had heard the door being knocked, came down and looked outside. SAo it does happen and there was no note in my window.

i know some postmen do give parcels to neighbours. But it is royal mail policy note to (parcelforce is part of RM).

As a postman ,i do not leave stuff next door unless i am proofpositive that they are v friedly ( even turning down offers to take stuff).

Tho  an exception did occur yesterday, i did leave it with the neighbour who offered to take aparcel. The reason for my change? Well I dont think the original sender had realised the emdarresment he would cause if the lady had to turn up at my office to claim it. She would have to have asked for a parcel addressed to 'LITTLE MISS GOODTIME'   yes written in big and bold in quotes.

so would the parcel go to my local post office or would it go to parcel force storehouse? cos if its my local post office i can pick it up... n thanks for the advice guys, i cant wait.. if no one had noticed

parcel force office. But read the card if they turn up when u are not in. U should be able to request a re delivery the next day ( or indeed any suitable day), and may be able to request a drop off at an alternate address ( ie work or college if that is OK or  at your next door). For a 50p charge you may well be able to askthem to take it to your local post office, then you can go get it there. But read the card fully, suprisingly we do prefer to deliver --the admin time of keeping stuff is horrible.

ok just phoned up pro-jumps and they arent coming till tommorow... my weekend went so slow because i was so hyped up about getting them, i drank n i drank n couldnt find my jolly side to make the whole process speed up either... lol o well i get to look forward to tomorow now, thanks for all the helpful advice on the postal service guys, o nthe upside i did get my new drum sticks, so i can continue learnin now lol, cant believe they broke so easily... hopefully ill have a little meet with paul tomoro or tonight to try his on...

i ordered mine from a norwegian site and the delivery is 6-11 thats just so incredibly long i can`t wait ordered them on monday
