Skydiving maniacs! And help!!!
« on: January 02, 2008, 05:03:07 PM »
OK this vid is a bit long... But it is so cool when they drive the cars while falling and the sitting on the sofas. the coffee table is cool too. I would love to do the skyboarding thing! I'm not allowed though. in case i break my leg.

No jumping from planes.
No sitting on wings.
No STILTS (haha)
No more microscooter tricks.
No paracending.
No Skydiving.
No Jumping off things.
No more parkour.

bacically I'm not allowed to do anything that might leave me injured or with any broken bones because they take ages to heal and then I wont be able to fly. And these are not even rules from my mum.

Anybody else like this HELP!!! A few tips would be much appreicated!

Anyhoo heres the site with the vid.

I dont know about skydiving with cars but generally isnt it quite safe? You're more likely to break a leg from running & tripping than from skydiving.

Well. i'm not sure. You need to do it properly really. If i were to use a sport chute (like for paracending) i would sill be hitting the floor and 30mph. So if you dont learn properly it can be dangerous.

I'd like to try it someday, how does it compare to paragliding? Assuming you have tried both?

I have been paratrooping, remember jumping out of the back of a B52 at 8,000 feat and dropping to 1,000 feet before pulling the cute open, at night for more fun!!

Not looked at the vid but I have done body flight in Milton Keynes

Basically a vertical wind tunnel that you sky dive in. Costs a lot but was a blast
Grow old disgracefully

If you raise £250 each for charity you dont have to pay to do it. Well at old buck anyhoo. Its usually £180. They just conned some money off us so I am not paying them anything for a while.

Sx what a load of bull!
Jumping out of a B52 (A. they are an american war plane. B. They have no crew seats, only on the flight deck and then its the Bomb bay) 8,000 feet is a little high (I think) and opening a chute after 1,000, good luck with that at the speed you would be going

It is quite possible. B52s are still used by the american airforce to drop paras. They do it at watton...but at 1000ft or 1500ft. But I am sure 8000 is possible.

1000ft is the minimum time that you can open a chute with out going splat first. So maybe he did it but was a close...very close call

Hate to disagree folks but 1000ft is safe compared to this lot

http://hypertextbook.com/facts/2005/KristinaArthurs.shtml

so if one of them jumped from 98ft he would have had trouble opening it at 1000  :haha:

Personaly think staying with the plane is the best bet even when your crashing but I'm old fasioned

The B52 is a warplane, it is used to drop bombs, It has no capability to carry passengers, its bomb bay is not pressurised, it would not happen.

P.S. Mebe you forgot im in the RAF, I know my planes!!!

Well having studied a few US force's recent actions the first question has to be do the Paras have to survive the drop

With the current policys in the US maybe they are expendable in which case any height is possible and no presurisation of the bomb bay needed and you can save on parachutes  :haha:

Now be honest does this sound like a good idea (no Mr Bush not you) the rest of the class can answer

Only kidding I like Americans really (just don't stand behind me with a gun please )
