Your learn quicker with other bockers to advise you what's going wrong with you technique.

My progress spend-up you the minute I sort out the Jurassic Jumpers! Then Banned Bockers and finally briefly met the welsh guys (their awesome by the way)

Faceplant  :Claugh: Dunno

But I did have a small palm tree start to grow on my head once
That was OK but when a small beach and a beach bar joined it I started to worry and went to the Doc

He said it was OK just a Beauty Spot

Hi All,

Having eventually managed to meet up with a group of Bockers at Eastrop Park in Basingstoke last sunday I have to say a big thank you to Jason for the loan of a pair of stilts, I had a great time and have just taken delivery of my own pair.

I'm 40 years old (good lord I really am!), live in Newbury, Berkshire and first learned about Bocking through a work colleague (Katy).  I've always been into things that are a little 'out there' - used to paraglide, I'm a scuba diving instructor and as you can probably see from my avatar I use explosives both professionally and for fun!

So I guess by most 'normal' measures I'm 'Mad' and proud of it - sanity is just so boring.

Like I said, I met up with a few bockers in Basingstoke and was only expecting to do about 20 minutes as I'd been told that most first timers can only handle it for this sort of length of time as they're using unfamiliar muscules.  It did hurt, but I worked through it and didn't taken them off for 3 hours!

Apparently I'm a natural and Jason couldn't believe it was my first time as I was hapilly running within about half an hour and jumping confidently by the time I decided to call it quits.

Looking forward to using my bocks to get fit (they allow me to run without the arthritus in my toes acting up) and coming along to other meets.

If it goes BANG! I'll do it.

Hi Pyro,

Congratulations on the basingstoke success. Glad you have Katy to steer you in the right  direction.

Shame you had to meet Jason on your first time out, I'm sure that will wear off soon.  :Cwink:

in all seriousness, you have a really good bunch to learn with.

Katy is fab as I'm sure you know, and will always be there at just the right time.
Hmmmmmmm........Why did I buy these again?!?!?!?

Welcome to the forum Steve

As for mad you'll fit in well here (I don't think I know any sane members  :Claugh: )

As for the explosives Naz a few people have already comented that mixing the two of us might not be healthy  :Claugh:

Seriously though after 10 mins we had figgured a few ways to set nero on fire and might move on to blowing him up

See you at the next meet Steve

Thought I'd throw out a hello!

I'm John and I'm from Edinburgh. Just bought myself a pair of ProJumpers recently after seeing someone in Edinburgh walk past with them. Seriously- one look was all it took! Utterly fantastic. :)

If anyone else is from my area and sees this, don't hesitate to give me an e-mail. Bock on!

Hello everyone!

I thought I'd come here and introduce myself while I'm waiting for my Pro_jumps to arrive in the mail. Hurry up darn it!  :Crealmad:

I've never been on a pair of Bocks, but they look like soooooo much fun! I'm so excited!

I used to do a lot of trampolining when I was a kid (could do simple flips n stuff) and I'm fairly fit so hopefully I should do OK.  I've also ordered a full set of protective gear because I don't wanna end up in A&E  :Claugh:

I look forward to getting to know the bocking community, and of course bouncing around having fun.

Jabberbocky (love the screen name) Chocl8 is up there dude, hes one of the best around so youll learn loads from him

Yeah Tim (Chocl8) is probably your best bet, he goes to Nottingham Uni so should probably be back up there in couple of weeks.

I'm down in Loughborough when at Uni so may pop up occasionally too if you have some meets.

Ps. Welcome to the forum :)
If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much room!
