long jump.....

ok well i do long jump for my school my personal best is 5.87 hoping to beat it soon :) anyways as i do long jump and it builds my leg muscles up  does this mean i wont find it that difficult to jump? or what?

i'd say built up leg muscles would probably help. i think they key thing is balance tho. one thing is for sure. you will beat your record with your projumps on!

thanks i will use the long jump track in the summer hols to train :) also will be bocking around on the raceing track lol the field with it all in it oposite of my school and you can go in anytime so will be fine :) ill get a mate to measure for me and tell me if i overstep atall =]

the world record is 8.95meters which was set by mike powell in 30 08 1991..
year i was born :)
my personal best is 5.87meters
love long jump :)
carnt wait to beat 6meters

sand dont mess your bocks up ive bounce on a beach weeks ago had no problems with them

the IAAF says it was set by Mike Powell in Tokyo at 8.95m and the womens was 7.52

U tried Triple Jump Dave?
If you have natural spring in yer legs (no pun intended :-\) you'll find that moving onto that comes easy.
Keep at it too :)
I loved Long and Triple comps at late teens, then more important things came along and gave up :-[
Recently thought about starting up again though, as I'm now eligible for veteran comps :o
