I might try that. Thanks ;D

If not, I can always use sellotape and superglue :D Might have some trouble getting off the bocks but i'm sure I can get around that problem :D

Yeah, I'm back

I ordered my pads from the 7 Leagues site. I'm gonna cancel the order because we're going on holiday (I probs can't take my bocks*sniff*) and the pads would arrive while we're away and probably get lost in transit. :(

Yeah, I'm back

Not from ProJump, and not legally within the UK. They are made by poweriSer and look like this:

They are only sold in mainland europe, and companies who sell them refuse to sell to the UK because of the patent laws on them (Jeff Jay of Stiltwerks owns the patent, for America and UK I believe). There is a way round it though, but it involves knowing someone living in mainland europe who can have them shipped to their house, and then post them on to you.

Well, I had Junior Pro-Jumps so they'd be different anyway but they do seem to be better quality. The plastic around the springs & the footplates are both really thick. I can't really compare them to Pro-Jump as I haven't tried adult Pro-jumpers. They're much bouncier than my old stilts though. :)

Yeah, I'm back

I think if you are borderline juniour/adult size then the weight is the biggest factor.
I had a 12 year old boy that we put on stilts at a festival last weekend and even with us holding him up he noted how heavy they are on the legs (adult size).

My own personal view is if you are close to the adult size then to get them as you're at the age where you grow real quick and you get so much more out of the adult sizes than the junior sizes.

G2's are the bad ones compared to the G1's. They cut back on costs and thus, lower quality did occur, in the rubber of the hooves and the framework. :-[

I have the adult ones. They are a little heavy but I lowered the knee bar and although i've only had them 2 days I can bounce a bit. Not very high but i'm below the weight and the springs aren't broken in properly yet.

Yeah, I'm back

No you don't get a choice because they don't sell G1's any more.
The G1's ended production in December 2006 and the G2's started shipping out in January 2007.

Well considering in my previous post I wrote "They cut costs" I would have thought that implied they are cheaper to make ::)

They're slightly different in build design, but they used cheaper materials on the G2's, hence the lower quality...

I thought the 2nd gen ones were fine. But I suppose I didn't have the 1st gen model to compare them with.

I'm 7 stone, I have 7 league raptors. I've forgotten what weight they're for :( I think they're like the M60's. I suppose I could use them easier 'cos I had the experience already of the junior model.

There is very little difference between the two gens, they should have been better, I know but some things are out of our control... and they added the shock absorber - but the cost cutting part is not proved as we are not getting them any cheaper on our end nor do we have reason to believe they are now cheaper to produce.

At present the biggest difference people are noticing between the two gens is that the rubber feet seem to be wearing out a little faster and the shock absorber which wasn't present on the first gens didn't stay in as well as it should (Oh yeah replacements absorbers are now free from Pro-Jump if you brought them from us)

The first gens were £189.99 plus £14.99 delivery so total was = £204.98 (if memory serves me correct)

The 2nd gens we have completely dropped our prices and margins so the total including delivery is now £135 a difference of £69.98!

So Adzi if you have got the G2 from us don't feel that you are out of pocket  ;) because I think we have more than compensated it with the huge price difference between the two.
